Lavish

This video is an awesome reminder of God’s unfathomable grace. I am starting to understand it isn’t about what I do, but it is about what He did for me. God loves me the same on my very best day, and my very worst day. I struggle, yet I am still His. When I realized that truth, a huge weight rolled off my back. 

We are forgiven and fully accepted, not because we are so well-behaved, but because Jesus paid the price. God is at work in the middle of chaos, refining us, and shaping us. He is there through it all, and has our best in mind. I feel humbled by His love for me. I am so grateful that I don’t have to rescue myself. His grace spills out of my life and into other’s, because it’s so extravagant. His forgiveness is a done deal. Past, present, future; He took care of it all. 

Even as he chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight. Ephesians 1: 4-8
